Arnold Schwarzenegger was attacked on Saturday during a sporting event in South Africa.
The 71-year-old Hollywood Blockbuster Movie actor, and former bodybuilder and Governor of California was drop-kicked from behind by an unidentified individual while attending a rope-skipping competition.
Video footages taken of the incident show Arnold filming the event with his cellphone. As he turns around seemingly to hand the phone to someone, the attacker suddenly rushes in and jump-kicks him on the back. As bodyguards rush in to restrain the attackers, Arnold looks on seemingly unfazed by the attack.
A few hours later, he posted a video of himself on Twitter leaving the venue greeting fans and greeting fans. He also addressed the incident in another tweet in which he thanked fans for their concern.
Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.
